Collision repair calls for tough, structural bonders like TEROSON® EP 5055. This 2-part, high-strength, solvent-free, epoxy-based adhesive is designed for high-strength structural bonding and corrosion protection of bare steel, zinc-coated steels and aluminium alloys used in the automotive industry and body repair shops. It's particularly ideal for roof and panel bonding. The product exhibits excellent corrosion prevention and spot-weldable properties. It is necessary to use an application tool with piston rod, e.g. LOCTITE® HD14 200 ml Pneumatic Dispenser/HD14 200 ml Manual Dispenser. Before application, surface pretreatment with TEROSON VR 10 is recommended. The mixed compound has a ~80-minute processing time (23°C/73°F, 50% RH) and reaches its initial strength (0.1 MPa) in ~7 h at 23°C (73°F). Full cure occurs at room temperature in 48 hours; curing can be accelerated via infrared heat at 60°C (140°F) for 1 hour or 80°C (176°F) for 30 minutes.
