LOCTITE® SI 5926 is a blue, acetoxy silicone paste for gasket replacement or gasket dressing, typically on applications like valve covers, timing gear covers, differential covers, oil pans, transmission pans, water pumps and thermostat housings. LOCTITE SI 5926 cures when exposed to moisture in the air to form a rigid, flexible, silicone rubber gasket. Due to its flexible nature, it enhances the load-bearing and shock-absorbing characteristics of the bond area. It also resists ageing, weathering and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking or cracking.
