LOCTITE® 5800 is a 1-part, medium-strength, dimethacrylate ester gasketing compound for sealing close-fitting joints between rigid metal faces and flanges: typically gearbox and engine casings. It fluoresces under UV light – great for quality control. This red viscous sealant provides resistance to low pressures immediately after assembly. Its thixotropic nature makes it easy to apply and reduces sealant migration after application. It cures at room temperature when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting surfaces. The product formulation carries no hazard symbols, risk or safety phrases.
